X16 is Here!

This past weekend The X Academy held its first audition clinic of the 2016 season with 100+ students in attendance and debuted the new wraps from ON2 Percussion. Students from across the nation came to learn from our amazing staff and receive feedback on their performance. If you have not yet registered for the next audition clinic on Oct. 11 you can here.

The clinic started with rotations between sectionals, individual auditions, and visual dance blocks, then we held full wind and percussion ensembles to close the clinic.

Rhythm X live streamed the full battery rehearsal through Periscope, making it easy to watch our rehearsals and see X16 form. Simply download the app on your phone, follow us on Twitter, and we will release a tweet when the live streaming begins.

An Amazing Football Field Sound Delay Calculator

Check out this amazing tool from Andrew Rogers and Brad Sparks.

Every band director and drum corps staff has their own tips and tricks for lining up the sounds of an ensemble on the marching band field. Performers are often spread all over the field, the metronome often moves around in rehearsal, and sometimes the drum majors hands aren't the right thing to be watching. This incredible excel file maps out zones on the field for listening back, playing with the hands, and even when to anticipate the drum majors hands. You can even change the location of the judges or audience!

Now Searching: The X16 Interns

We're looking for a group of out-of-the-box thinkers, problem solvers, and creative types to be the next class of Rhythm X, Inc. interns. We want young people who are excited about the marching arts and willing to dive head first into a fast-paced and challenging environment.

While you might get stuck grabbing coffee, you can expect to be on the front lines solving problems and developing a company and a brand committed to providing the best in performing arts education.

We're looking for a team of both administrative and media interns. To learn more and apply visit rhythmx.org/careers.
