Additions to Wind and Percussion Educational Teams

Jimmy Blankenship, Wind Coordinator

On Tuesday we announced the addition of Matt and Ben Harloff to our educational team. Today we're welcoming the rest of the staff that will instruct. Jimmy Blankenship, currently the head band director at Sycamore High School, will serve as the Wind Coordinator. He will work alongside the design team of Andrew Markworth, Tim Fairbanks, and Tim Jackson as well as consultants Matt and Ben Harloff. The rest of the team includes wind instructors Andy Brough, Nathan Gropp, and Steve Mason; as well as visual instructors Neil Adkinson and Aaron Bailey. Jonathan Meader, who joined the percussion staff in 2014 will also work with the wind ensemble on dance and choreography. Tim Fairbanks will continue serve as the Ensemble Director and Mike Scott as Operations Director for both groups.

Joe Woodie, an alumnus of Rhythm X is also joining the team as a snare drum instructor. Joe marched with Rhythm X from 2011 until his age out in 2014. Today we updated our staff webpage so you can view the entire Rhythm X, Inc. team. 

The entire educational team will be out in full force at the X15 Audition Clinics on October 12th and 19th. We're excited to get everyone involved in the first in-person event of our new educational wing, The X Academy. The addition of these great educators will not only ensure the success of our competitive wind ensemble but also allow us to provide quality education for brass and woodwind players in The X Academy.
