Memory is Improved with Music Training

From WebMD

Psychologist, Agnes S. Chan, PhD, at the Chinese University in Hong Kong, did a study on  group of boys ages 6 to 15 years old and found that their verbal memory increased the longer they took music lessons. But, what is even more interesting is once they stopped taking them their memory skills were unchanged. She states,

This strongly implies that the better verbal memory in children with music training is not simply a matter of differences in age, education level, or their family’s socioeconomic characteristics.

This proves the lasting impact that music can have on an individual throughout their lifetime. Music is always sharpening our minds, and evolving our thought process.
