finance REPRESENTATIVE

Reports To: Board committee on Finance

Summary:

The Finance Representative will work with the corresponding committee on the board of directors. They will serve as a critical link between the board and the members and staff of Rhythm X.

Key Responsibilities:

Goals and tasks will be developed in conjunction with the committee chair. Potential focus areas include prop safety, member nutrition, mental health, etc. The representative will be responsible for attending committee meetings and helping the committee implement their ideas within the ensemble. The representative can also develop their own ideas and plans and bring them to the committee for approval and guidance.

Responsibilities likely to include:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

• Process invoices, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements

• Process staff payroll

• Prepare financial reports as needed

• Accurately enter data into various systems, including financial software and databases.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Desired experience with bookkeeping and basic administration; willing to teach on the job

• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Familiar with using spreadsheets (Excel, Google sheets)
