fundraising REPRESENTATIVE

Reports To: Board committee on Fundraising

Summary:

The Fundraising Representative will work with the corresponding committee on the board of directors. They will serve as a critical link between the board and the members and staff of Rhythm X, as well as to external donors and sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

Goals and tasks will be developed in conjunction with the committee chair. The representative will be responsible for attending committee meetings and helping the committee implement their ideas within the ensemble. The representative can also develop their own ideas and plans and bring them to the committee for approval and guidance.

Responsibilities are likely to include:

• Plan and implement fundraising campaigns and events

• Carefully track revenue and expenses related to fundraisers

• Develop compelling fundraising materials, including proposals, presentations, and online campaigns.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

• Manage our Alumni scholarship program, including recruiting alumni to participate, and overseeing the selection process.

• Explore creative solutions to help members raise money to pay their fees.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience raising money, writing grants, or working with donors.

• Great at talking to people and building relationships; comfortable speaking in front of an audience.

• Knows how to use databases and fundraising tools.

• Able to use Slack, Notion, Gmail / G-suite, Salesforce, Donorbox

• Organized and detail oriented

• Proactive and can work independently
