People and Culture Manager

Reports To: Assistant Director

Summary:

The People and Culture Coordinator is our “people person”, who is responsible for taking care of our members’ and staffs’ needs! We are seeking someone who is organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented for this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct background checks, SafeSport training, and manage contracts.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Google Drive.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member needs, addressing financial, housing, or absence issues.

  • Develop strong relationships with members to facilitate open communication and handle sensitive conversations.

  • Maintain a comprehensive roster of members and staff, including emergency contact information and relevant details.

  • Manage communication channels like Slack and email, ensuring information reaches the right people.

  • Track staff attendance for payroll purposes and work with Director to ensure timely payment.

  • Develop and implement training materials on topics such as injury prevention and code of conduct.

  • Develop a leadership program for section leaders.

  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator and Assistant Director

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Gmail, Adobe PDF, and Slack

  • Experience with administrative tasks and record-keeping

  • Passion for fostering a positive and supportive environment
