Andria Merrill
Health and Saftey
Dr. Andria Merrill is joining as the new Health and Safety Representative for the 2026 season.
Andria grew up in Upstate New York and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Alfred University in 2020, a Master of Science in Exercise Science from
SUNY Cortland in 2022, and a Doctorate in Athletic Training from Indiana State University in May 2025.
Andria first became involved in the marching arts in 2017 as a side-field drum major for the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps, and continued on to begin her colorguard journey in 2018! In 2021, she began teaching colorguard as a flag and dance technician/choreographer. Andria recently finished her fourth season as an athletic trainer with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. She blends her personal experience in the marching arts with evidence-based approaches to support performer health and wellness. Andria is also involved with the DCI Marching Arts Safety and Health (MASH) group.
In her free time, Andria enjoys spinning, reading, and playing card games. She currently lives in Louisville, KY, with her fiancé, Dylan, and their dog, Mia. She is very excited to join Rhythm X and help promote health and safety best practices.
