Jai Price

Front Ensemble

Jai Price is a percussionist with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from the University of Florida. While in college, he was the principal timpanist for the University Orchestra, drum set player in UF Jazz Ensemble One, percussionist in the UF Wind Symphony, and was the drum set player for 2 shows put on by the school of Musical Theater and Dance.

He was just recently hired as the Director of Percussion for both Deltona High School and Pinecrest Lakes Academy in Minneola, and has been a front ensemble technician at Orange Park High School since 2022. He also has his own private lesson studio, where he provides instruction both online and in-person, which he started in 2019. 

Jai is currently on staff for the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, starting in the summer of 2025. Before this, he was a member of Heat Wave Drum and Bugle Corps (2017) on rack percussion, Infinity Percussion (2018-2022) on rack percussion and drum set, Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps (2020-2023) on rack percussion and drum set, and Rhythm X (2024-2025) on drum set. While at the Bluecoats, Jai received Percussion Performer of The Year during the 2022 season after winning the Fred Sanford Award for best percussion, and was the section leader of the front ensemble during the 2023 season. While at Rhythm X, Jai received Rookie of the Year during the 2024 season and received the WGI Scholarship during the 2025 season.

Jai also performs in Central Florida in many different mediums. His indie band, “Lowdive”, was formed in the summer of 2024 and has been performing in venues all over Orlando ever since. He also has a jazz trio called "J Street,” which he performs with intermittently, that was formed by him and his two brothers. Lastly, he has a solo act that can be seen at small venues in Clermont, his hometown.
