James Fantine
Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator
Originally from Wellington, Ohio, James has been an active member of the marching arts for over 35 years. He began as a saxophone major at the University of Toledo but added percussion in his Sophomore year while playing bass in the Rocket Marching Band.
Following college, James enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, serving 4 years as a Small Boat Coxswain and Boarding Officer. James has been involved as a percussion instructor at numerous high schools in Ohio, including Maumee, Eastwood, Canal Winchester, and most recently Thomas Worthington from 2007-2013 guiding the line to a Silver Medal in Scholastic A at the WGI World Championships in 2009.
James has worked for Mars Petcare for 20 years and is currently the Global Technical Audit Lead in which his responsibilities include auditing the 70+ manufacturing sites across the world. James currently lives in Spring Hill, TN with his wife, Tiffany, and their two kids and many animals.
