Zayra Mata-Velazquez

Operations Coordinator, Bengals Coordinator

Zayra is originally from Dewitt, Michigan and currently resides in northern Indiana. She is a previous member of the Rhythm X Visual Ensemble, marching in 2022’s Art Shaped Box. She then went on to join the Rhythm X admin team and is in her third season as the Operations Coordinator. Previously, she served as a drum major for the Madison Scouts from 2020-2021 and a field conductor for Legends DBC in 2019.

She spent the summers of 2022-2024 with the Madison Scouts as part of their administration team—handling facilities management, educational administration, and taking photos on the side. Zayra also spent the fall of 2022-spring of 2023 with Music For All as an Event Coordinator and is currently on their fall events team. She has previously worked as the customer success and operations lead at Seavine and is now a Meeting Attendee Coordinator.

She is currently on her first season with the Santa Clara Vanguard as a Tour Assistant.
