Benjy Braude

Bass Drums

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Benjy got his start in marching music at Colerain High School and has been involved in the activity ever since.

In his marching career, Benjy is proud to have performed with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps, Legacy Indoor, and Rhythm X. Since aging out, Benjy has worked as a bass technician with high schools across the Cincinnati and Indianapolis areas, most recently teaching Center Grove High School, Legacy, Legacy Open, Veritas, and the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. This drum corps season, Benjy is thrilled to be one of the bass techs with the Mandarins.

Benjy graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in biology as well as a master’s degree in secondary education. In his time in college, he performed with the Indiana University Drumline for five years, and proudly works with the group once again as the IU Drumline’s current assistant director and arranger.

Benjy currently lives in Bloomington, Indiana where he works as a high school biology and chemistry teacher, and performs with the Indianapolis Colts Drumline. Benjy is proud is to be endorsed by Innovative Percussion, and is incredibly excited to be retuning to Rhythm X!
