James Fantine

James has been involved in the Pageantry Arts for over 30 years. Starting out as a Freshman saxophone player in Marching Band, becoming a percussionist at the University of Toledo, continuing as the Drum Major for the Rocket Marching band for 3years then into a percussion instructor for many schools around the great State of Ohio. The highlight of his teaching career was guiding the Thomas Worthington Indoor Drum Line to a Silver Medal in Scholastic A in 2009.

James moved to Spring Hill, Tennessee in 2013 with his wife and 2 children, and stepped away from teaching at that moment to focus on family. Music has continued to be an integral part of James and his family’s lives. Both of his kids were in band and choir in elementary and high school. James has worked for Mars Petcare for 21 years within the Quality and Food Safety Function. J

ames was part of the RX admin team in 2024 before moving to the Board of Directors for the 2025/26 season. He is excited for this opportunity to continue to support an activity that has been such a big part of his life.
